Meet Our Team

Mr. Tompkins has over 30 years of experience in the hair industry as a Stylist in the salon, media styling and styling celebrity clients! He has an Associate’s Degree in Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Leadership & Organization.


He excelled as a Manager for Rite Aid and Family Dollar Corporations for several years, and also worked in the community for several non-profit organizations for a period of 22+ years. He is very passionate about helping others and making them look their best, and spent his time during the pandemic to make sure The Community Salon became a living, breathing space to assist others.

Ms, Trenise Wells-Bailey has over 20 years of experience in the hair industry as a salon owner and Cosmetology Instructor. She studied Biology at Bowie State University. She continues to educate young people in the beauty industry and is a great asset to the Board of The Community Salon.

Our ability to service both female and male constituents will rest on the care and experience we have on our team and our active Board Members. We are delighted to have Ms. Trenise Wells-Bailey as part of our team!

William Miller has 20 years of experience in Financial Services and 10 years in Commercial and Personal Banking. He studied Humanities at Lock Haven University and Business Management and Acquisitions at Strayer University.


He served as a Marketing Director for a small business, is a Certified Records Manager and currently works as a Procurement Specialist for the Federal Government.


William is a member of the Phi-Mu-Delta Fraternity. He has a passion for helping others reach their full potential

Dr. Kenneth Taylor, Ph.D. has spent the past 19 years developing educational practices that enhance the participation of minorities in education, specifically those initiatives to support first generation and African American students. Dr. Taylor received his doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Morgan State University in May 2011.

Currently, Dr. Taylor is the senior program manager in the Strategic Planning and Reporting (SPAR) group. Before joining the team, he worked as the Senior Quality Control Analyst for the Performance Improvement and Procedures Service Group under Program Compliance.


Dr. Taylor is also a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity where he currently serves as Polemarch for the Alexandria Fairfax (VA Alumni Chapter) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.


Oluremi Sano is Executive Director of “Spark & Flow” and “Fihankra Global Education”.  She is a great asset to The Community Salon.  Her knowledge of Non-Profit infrastructure, organization, development, strategic planning and grant writing skills are second to none!  She is such a giver and hosts a FREE weekly Zoom meeting teaching you how to stop wasting years of joy working in places you do not love.
